This Saturday we are treated to another big fight card, with Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson headlining UFC 161 in a fight that where Henderson will be looking to make sure he keeps his number 1 contender spot.
What makes this fight especially interesting is the fact that UFC President Dana White has now said that Light Heavyweight champ Jon Jones will face Alexander Gustafsson sometime this year after Henderson had to give up his title shot to Chael Sonnen after getting injured. Henderson will no doubt look to make a big statement in this fight so that he doesn’t get passed up for a title shot again.
On the other side we have Rahsad Evans who has lost both of his last two fights by decision, one to the Champion, Jones, and the other to fellow veteran Antonio Rogerio Noguiera.
It’ll be interesting to see which of these two fighters has another title run left in them. Dangle a title shot in front of Dan Henderson and factor in his right hand and we’re sure to get fireworks tonight on ESPN.
Also, look for Game 5 in the NBA series between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs as they battle it out for the NBA Championship. With the series tied at 2-2, with the teams trading big wins, Game 5 will be huge as both teams will look to establish some momentum as the series, and the season, draws to a close.
And it now seems that the football summer transfer window is heating up even more as Man City have finally announced Manuel Pellegrini as manager.
They will no doubt look to bolster their squad further after already signing Jesus Navas and Fernandinho for a combined £44.9 million.
Real Madrid are among the clubs now circling Tottenham, hoping to secure the signing of Gareth Bale in a deal that could cost them up to £85 million.
NEXT WEEK: more big summer signings, more NBA finals, more big news.
